Skied our way to Flanagan's this morning noting very stiff snow on the LCC/BCC ridge line that defines the skiers left of East Bowl, which we avoided.
Large cornice at the top of Flanagan's had a ramp onto the run. We were able to use the ramp to put ourselves into a position to break off a bit of the cornice from a safe stance. After a couple of whacks with a pole we dropped a fairly small bit of cornice which trigger this soft slab. Didn't measure the crown but estimate 40' x 12". The interface seemed to be yesterday's snow that had a bit of time to settle before the new snow we got overnight.
The slide moved slowly but did run fairly far as you can see in the photo.
