Comments
Checking out road conditions this morning and the spring melt is in full swing with lots of south facing slopes mostly bare and running water everywhere. The north aspects still have decent snow cover, but it is looking thin and won't last too long.
A couple small old avalanches on this north facing slope that has a history of avalanching quite frequently throughout the winter. Rocks and some odd slope characteristics might have something to do it and there is often times avalanche debris piled up on this natural bench below.
