Comments
Toured solo on PC ridgeline. Dug a pit before I dropped into Cinder Chutes/Corn Bowl. Decided to dig pit to confirm my snowpack assumptions. There was a soft layer about 25cm deep, fist hard. This snow is from the recent snowfall and wind loading. Faceted layer 25cm deep. During ECT, storm layer broke at 25cm during hit #22. No deeper layers found or sheared. Snow conditions looked great, rode terribly. The snow was too hard to carve in the crust.
