Another slide off the back side of Scott Peak. Looked to start as a windslab off the top of the peak (in the cloud in the photo) within new snow only, but then stepped down midslope and ran full track. Where it stepped down looked to be several feet deep and likely failed on facets; however, too much hangfire left to go look at it. There have been a lot of slides in here, but given the freshness of the crown and the debris I am reasonably certain that this is new, and would have run at some point 2/13 as we came upon it very early before the winds had picked up much.
Forecaster: Another observation of this same slide "Large slide path . 250-300 yards wide 6-8 feet deep break . good 100 yard run out on base .. debris 6-10' deep at end point. Had good feeling this area was ready to go soon !!!!! BC snowmobiling had hit it 2-3 weeks ago. but held. no no name did not hold. "
