NOWCAST-
A big, bright, beautiful Snow Moon illuminates on our mountains this morning as one more day of high pressure delivers cloudless skies. Overnight, winds shifted to the west and southwest, but still remain rather well-behaved, blowing in the teens and low 20's even along the high peaks. In between old tracks, wind funk, and varying degrees of supportable suncrusts, a few patches of soft snow still exist on mid elevation, sheltered slopes.
FORECAST-
The last of a long string of warm sunny days is on tap with high temperatures soaring into the 40's. Clouds increase and southerly winds bump into the 30's as the day wares on.
FUTURECAST-
A cold front slides through the area right around sunrise Tuesday, quickly delivering 2"-4" of snow and much colder daytime high temperatures which only climb into the mid 20's. Northwest winds blowing in the 30's along the ridges add a bite to the air. A trailing system clips the area late Wednesday, delivering an additional dusting of snow before high pressure rounds out the work week.
