Special Announcements
Sunday will be the last regularly scheduled avalanche forecast for the Manti Skyline. I'll do intermittent updates through the rest of the month during any significant weather that affects avalanche conditions.
Weather and Snow
Current Conditions: There was another solid freeze last night and the snow surface will be locked up and icy in the higher terrain this morning. Wind was strong from the northwest late Friday and has slowed now. Riding conditions are typical for the spring. The snow surface is hard in the morning and softens as the day goes on with daytime heating.

Mountain Weather: We start another warming trend today with sun and high temperatures getting up to around 40˚F. Wind will be light from the west. Sunday looks similar with a few clouds and warmer temperatures.
Looking forward, weather models are now starting to suggest there will be a few smaller storms moving through over the next few weeks. None of them look all that large but there may be enough new snow to refreshen the riding conditions.

Description
There really isn't much to talk about as far as avalanches right now. Overall, avalanche conditions are pretty quiet. About all I advise is to watch out if you find yourself in an area where the snowpack is wet, loose and unconsolidated to the point where you are sinking deep into it. This indicates unstable snow and you should then avoid being on or below steep slopes.
Also, there are some very large cornices and they are likely to start breaking off during the spring warm up. You'll want to avoid being below these monsters.
