Out busting through drifts checking avalanche conditions on #theunicorn today. Hardest working #snowbike in the business! #dailygrind Wind slabs and drifts were not as sensitive as I anticipated but if you mess around on enough steep leeward slopes you're bound to pop something out. Wind was still annoying and drifting snow late in the day. Riding conditions are excellent with around 10" new snow. #snowbikeworld

A few more inches of snow trickled in over the last 24 hours. It's been windy and the wind continued overnight. It actually increased in speed a bit. Temperatures remain cold with readings in the low to mid teens. The new snow provides excellent riding conditions. However, you will find wind damage in many areas. The wind drifted snow is also your main avalanche concern today. All of the drifts that I poked at on Monday wouldn't crack but I would still be very leery of large drifts on steep slopes.
