Snow Characteristics Comments

The snow on the ground is all new from the weekend storm. There was little if any snow on the ground prior.

18-24" right side up with damp basal layer. Good early season conditions for sleds, boards, and skis. No signs of instability. Will wait and watch to see how snow reacts to upcoming weather. Hoping to avoid a major faceting event with continued intermittent storms.

Comments

Remember that the Tony Grove road is not maintained. The road is snow covered and icy and requires 4WD and/or chains.

The photo with the shovel is from upper Beginner Bowl.
