Snow Characteristics Comments

Nice powder riding conditions though the lower in elevation the more you could feel stiffer upside down layer under about 1 ft of lighter density snow

Red Flags Comments
Saw a few newer avalanches from the last day or two. No other red flags. The snowpack seems to be stabilizing quickly. Could not find presence of buried SH. Most likely destroyed prior to storm. There is still a density change where the SH was but could not get any failure on that layer.

New Snow
Problem #1 Comments

saw a few surface sluffs but only in the top 6" or so of the new snow.

Avalanche Problem #2

Wind Drifted Snow
Problem #2 Comments

Found a few very stiff wind slabs in exposed terrain. Some of these may be buried under the new lighter density snow and hard to see.

Snow Profile
Comments

There are definitely density differences within the new snow but none appear to be overly worrisome. Stabilizing well but certainly not low danger.
