Comments

Sought after good quality skiing so kept to sheltered terrain today. The wind was picking up as the day went on but I was not noticing active snow transport where we were traveling. I would assume in the wind zone slabs were being created and that will be something to watch for tomorrow. II think the cold temps have helped lock up any weaknesses in the pack and have been finding a stable snowpack this week. With warmer temps and dense snow on the way, I'm interested in how the buried persistent weak layers will act once they are loaded with a bit more weight.
