I hiked on foot into one the upper cirques at Snowbasin this evening. I only found a total of 2-4" of total snow on higher elevation shady slopes. All of the sunny aspects (Southeast, South, West) were snow-free, even to the highest ridgelines. Photos below are from a grassy, NE aspect at about 9000'. There's about 1" of old snow that survived from September and October. That layer is made of 3-4 mm, loose facets. The rest of the thin snowpack came from the storm last Thursday (11/17). The Thursday storm snow looked like it got blown around quite a bit. There's a 1-F to 4-F wind slab/crust on top of the old snow in places.
The only place I think the old faceted snow could be a concern is on smooth, grassy slopes, and just in pockets. The rocky areas just don't have enough snow to be an issue yet.

The West and South aspects on the Ogden side of the ridge are bare to the highest ridge lines (9500'). North and Northeast aspects have some snow down to about 7500 or 8000'. I don't think much of the old faceted snow survived below 8500'. Looking to the South, it appears the mountains near Thurston Peak may have gotten a bit more snow out of the last storm.
