Comments

Went to Red Baldy this morning thinking that the N, NW might still hold cold dry settled powder, I was right for once. Did not have to get an early start think it was 9:30 or so, air temperatures were cold and the dry snow lasted at least until I left at 2:00, would suspect it made through the day. All other aspects and elevations below Red Baldy were damp. Only instability noted was some cracking in some isolated wind drifts, very minor. And some minor wet activity down lower in the drainage. Most of the new snow on E,S, and W shrunk right into the old base from before. Photos.

Clouds hanging on the high peaks in the AM.

Fresh 2 inches of snow.

Minor wind drift cracking on Red Baldy.

Might as well do another.
