Comments
Did some exploring below 7,000 feet MSL on and above the Test/Practice hill above North Fork Park. Have a new beacon tnis year so I did some practice. Dug a pit to bury a beacon and examine the snow pack. 6,500 feet MSL Snow depth ~28 inches (71 cm) Bottom ~6 inches weak and still saturated Two crust layers ~8 inches and ~12 inches above the ground
Top ~16 inches compacted witrh single finger hardness (1F) Egress from the slope is character building, reccomend either the by the skin track or south by Cobble Creek.
