Comments
We toured up BearTrap West today and noticed strong winds from the South as we reached the ridge. We hopped over the ridge trying to stay clear of wind effected slopes and found a sheltered area to dig a pit. We found a snow depth of 195-200 cm as we probed on a West facing aspect. The column test from our pit showed a CT-15 failing on the new/old snow interface roughly 35 cm down. We couldn't find the stubborn PWL on this slope which is consistent with previous observations as it is a sheltered slope.
Overall we found a robust snow-pack that seems to be slowly healing. We noticed no other signs warning signs of avalanches during our travels.
