I hit Broads late in the day and snowshoed to the bridge to check out snow depth. The amount of snow super low near the TH was astounding. It seems that the snow there could release and send you through the trees and possibly to the creek if caught. Sketch stuff!
The snow up higher was damp but not sun crusted which made snowshoeing surprisingly enjoyable.
I saw some wet release activity in the canyon (Storm Mointain area) that was definitely eye opening and a bit scary.
