Weather Comments
Mostly clear skies, calm winds and very mild temperatures. I was moving around without a hat and gloves today and it felt more like a spring day rather than November.

Snow Characteristics Comments
This past Friday/Saturday's storm put down about 4-5" of new snow in the upper elevations capping a stout wind crust from a week ago. Around 10,000' there is anywhere from 40-70cm (16-28") with a few crust layers that have developed over the last month or so.
Red Flags
Red Flags Comments
No real red flags that I observed today, I did not get up onto the ridge lines where there might be some minor wind issues. Need to keep watching how the snow pack develops with the current weather.
Comments
Have been watching how some loose faceted snow is developing around the middle part of the snow pack where a crust formed back in October. Not much of a dense slab on top of this layer right now.
Upper elevation north facing terrain is the only game in town right now for snow and it is still vehicle access for much of the Whitney Basin.
Pretty decent snow coverage around 10,000' on the northerly facing slopes with 16-24".
