Comments
Although at the lower elevations loading did not seem to be happening, we decided to turn around.
We dug a pit half way up, although it did not show any sensitive slab (because that particular slope was not representative of the upper section) we did notice some facets about 90cm down. They where not reactive, but when we pulled the slab out with a shovel it did shear somewhat planar. It sheared on facets. I don't think this is a big problem going forward as the facets seemed moist and likely gaining strength as well as it being pretty deep under a cohesive slab. But it could be something of note later in the spring if things get warm quickly. Just my two cents.
