Weather Comments
We were in the clouds above 8,700 feet or so this afternoon. Stayed cold all day but felt pretty humid, with another new coating of rime on the trees up high.

Snow Characteristics Comments
We generally found 3-5 inches of new low density snow that was unaffected by the wind in our travels today. Snow totals were not highly dependent on elevation, with 2-3 inches of new snow even around 7,500 feet. The new snow was sluffing fast in steep terrain but there was not enough of it to be an issue.
Comments
We toured in the Pleasant Creek area this afternoon, from elevations of 7,400 to 9,900 feet. The recent series of weak storms have been kind to this area. Last time I was here was last Thursday and pretty much all traces of our previous travel were erased by the new snow. I'd estimate about a foot of new snow has fallen since then in this area. Snow is right side up, previous waves consisted mainly of dense snow with lots of graupel and last night's storm was low density powder. We didn't note any signs of instability in our travels today. We dug a few hand pits and the interfaces between layers of recent storm snow seem to be well bonded. The only potential issues I can think of would be sluffing on the graupel layer, which is only buried by a couple inches of snow at this point, and the fact that there is a decent amount of low density snow available for transport if winds do pick up. Given the upcoming forecast I don't think either of these will be problems.
Skiing conditions are excellent right now, the dense snow from prior storms has really helped to fill things in and cover obstacles.
