Comments
Our group skied the saddle between Bald & Reids Peak. About 6-8" of new snow on top of settled (north facing) powder skied really well! South winds in this area were up enough to keep daytime heating in check but not enough to cause any significant wind loading at the saddle. Visibility was an issue from time to time. Chose the south facing side for one run due to poor visibility on the north facing side. Sun poked out for a minute on our ascent back to the saddle and that's all it took for snow to go off. We did have a manageable new snow only slough in the upper part of the north facing chute where it was steep off the top. (See photo) Ran about a third of the way down slope and didn't entrain enough snow to be an issue.
