Comments

The clear skies allowed the sun to burn off the recent snow on south aspects all the way to the highest peaks in the Ogden Mountains (Ben Lomond pictured below).

On shady aspects, the cold, clear nights have already faceted the thin snow. Some good sized surface hoar was fairly widespread above 7,000 feet. There's so little snow in most of the Ogden Mountains, that this shouldn't be much to worry about. But I suspect there may be just enough snow on high northerly slopes (thinking smooth grassy slopes or rocky slab areas) where this snow might be deep enough to form pockety weak layers for future storms.
