Problem #1 Comments

New wind slabs sensitive to the weight of a skier or rider are developing along ridge crests and in exposed terrain on the lee sides of terrain features on slopes with a NE-NW aspect.

Increasing Danger
Problem #2 Comments

The weight of newly developed wind slabs has the potential to affect the deeper persistent slabs that are over riding weak, faceted snow. Also, a slide triggered within the new snow has the potential to step down into these persistent slabs on upper elevation NE-NW aspects.
