An avalanche that we observed from Gold Hill. The crown appeared to range from 2' to 5'.
This appears to have been remotely triggered. You can see a significant track which leads from the crown to old sled tracks.
We dug a snowpit on a NE slope with shallow snow (120cm). Based on this snow, we assume the weak layer of this is facets.
