Early this afternoon, I could see a recent sizable natural slab avalanche on the broad south face of Beirdneau Peak. It looks like it ran on the dust crust from early February. This could easily been "heat shock" or at least heat-related. I'm not at all sure that this was a wet slab, but it was certainly a big slab avalanche.
