Comments
Walked out of the Crest gate to do some touring off Pioneer Ridge, immediately walking through the gate I was greeted by debris from a wind slap that broke in the rocky terrain of Marco Polo. Walking the ridge I encountered every type of snow and snow surface imaginable from waist deep fresh snow that was transported to bulletproof wind buff. Seen debris from another wind slab farther down the Snake Creek drainage that appeared to be triggered by a sled at some point in the last couple days. North side of the ridge the snow was still in decent condition but was mostly unconsolidated and easy to sluff. All in all the variability in conditions pushed me to exit early.
