We traveled up Smithfield canyon today and observed one wet loose avalanche (described above) that appears to have come off of some very steep SW facing cliffs I am guessing yesterday when the sun hit the cliffs (the sun has been feeling HOT even with these cold ambient temps the past 2 days).
