There are several crusts of varying thickness in the top foot of snow in south-facing terrain. Sandwiched between the crusts is very weak faceted snow formed by extreme temperature gradients caused by the very cold temperatures and clear nights...
We could see evidence of a few recent loose sluffs in steep terrain
