Comments
I did not get into the mid or upper elevations but I can describe a poor structure in sheltered terrain in the low elevations with 15-25cm of recrystallizing snow above a firm crust. This surface snow will only continue to recrystallize and weaken with the weather forecast and will be problematic with the next loading events.
Overall take: dry sluffs and soon dry facet sluffs can be expected in steep terrain. Increasing northwest winds Tuesday into Wednesday will provide some more soft slabs of wind drifted snow. The PWL from early season is likely all but dormant with some possible exceptions of steep rocky terrain of the highest elevations or in re-loaded terrain that ran during the holidays.
