Comments
Light but sustained snowfall in upper LCC during our tour from 1130-1430. Curious about the rime event: 3cm down, but imperceptible during skiing at any elevation, which was a nice surprise given reports from the day before. Probulator profile at mid elevation west facing slope just above summer road: HS 130, was able to detect rime layer. Did some off the skin track tromping did not expect collapses but was wondering about cracks, but not see any within new snow along route to pastey Marley. Dug a 1 meter pit on upper elevation WNW slope and found a right side up snow pack: HS 160 (failed probulator profile). On the face of pastey Marley I mesaured HS of 200cm. No wind. Toured with my parents, which was very special.
