Snow Characteristics Comments
The snow conditions felt kind of lifeless with top to bottom weak sugary snow on the shady side of the compass. There were a few places where the winds have created some hard dense snow, but generally it was mostly unsupportabile snow. Things could get interesting when it does snow.

Noticed the south and southeast winds were kicking up some good snow plumes on the higher peaks and ridges has I drove up the highway. Where I dug and traveled today it was bottomless weak faceted snow with fist density snow making up the top third of the pack and the rest was large grains of sugary faceted snow. I was basically walking on the ground!

Comments
Not sure how much longer there will be vehicle access over the pass.
Winds the last few days have scoured and filled in some of the old tracks.
Noticed this small dribble of snow on the lower apron of Murdock Mountain. Maybe a piece of snow from above broke off and created this small sluff. The conditions are still kind of lean with lots of rocks and terrain features that need snow.
Looking across towards the south side of Bald Mt and it does not look like mid December.
