Snow Characteristics Comments
Early season conditions with still quite shallow snow cover and the surface snow has gotten weak with the cold clear weather. There is a little supportability to the snow pack from the stout crust near the ground that formed from warm temperatures in October. Hoping the approaching storm will get the winter season going.

Comments
A quick visit to the Lofty area and still thin snow cover and lots of terrain that needs to get filled in.
The snow pack is shallow and mostly soft, weak sugary snow with the October crust near the ground allowing for some supportability to travel on. It will be interesting to see how the snow pack handles the upcoming storm if the water and snow totals start to stack up.
