Comments
Explosive control work in the Ogden area mountains produced numerous class 2 soft slabs and one class 4 hard slab, 4-6' deep by 200' wide (photo).
Forecaster Comments: This is an interesting entry regarding explosive control work in the Ben Lomond area on north-northeast facing aspects. Another additional note says the avalanche was 400 yards wide. If anyone has any further information or photos please email us [email protected].
There are also notes from similar size avalanches in the Salt Lake and Provo area Mountains (Natural cycle, including east chute of Elk Point, Roberts Horn, Fingers, upper Chablis, Bunnells.).
