Travel today was 7k-10k
Broken Sky with gradual clearing
Light wind in the lower elevation, with moderate speeds from the SW on the ridges. No new wind transport noted today, because the previous days had stripped most available snow. The landscape has changed and seemed to be more filled in do yo the past few days of wind a powder snow. Multiple snow surface from frozen, melt freeze, wind board, and faceting powder. Travel was easy, and winds did keep the solar aspect in check. Wind had cleaned the slate in Wilson, and good conditions were found. Stubborn wind slabs hang in certain locations, mainly found today on the North 1/2 of the compass. Slope cuts, were non reactive, with no cracking or collapsing. Eased into a few steeper runs today in this location for the first time for me this season. Terrain continues to dictate my choices, with careful thought, patience, and good timing.
