Skinning along the north Flagstaff Ridgeline and broke a cornice that fell into the slope which triggered a surprisingly decent avalanche. We were still a couple feet from where the cornice broke, and a safe distance from the effected slope. Definitely some good chunks of snow that could have pushed you into some trees or piled up in more consequential terrain. Some shooting cracks remained, indicating there may have been more slab locked and loaded on the flanks of the slide.
