Comments
Came upon this repeater at about 11:30 while attempting to transit between Soapstone and areas south of Mill Hollow. While much of it went the first time a couple days ago, the new snow apeared to have ripped additional large sections of slope south and north of the old slide, to the ground. The mess looked very fresh; I assume this was remotely triggered by a rider.
Comments
Probably the most interesting (unsettling?) thing about this was the number of parties that buzzed along under a few hundred feet of crown with lots and lots of detached blocks and hangfire above them. While we ate lunch we watched a couple of them, including one party with kids (!), stop directly below the blocks and hangfire while they negotiated the fresh debris pile blocking the road one at a time. We said no thanks that action and headed back to the soapstone meadows.
