Problem #1 Comments
Observed around 1-2' of fresh cold smoke powder from this weekend's storm. Snow was extremely light and sluffing fast on steeper slopes but incohesive.

Problem
Persistent Weak Layer

Problem #2 Comments
Old riding surface in solar aspects turned into a solid crust. Large surface facets seen prior to the storm survived in the shadows and are here to stay for the forseeable future.
Comments
Deadfall is still a large hazard especially in dense trees where less snowfall was observed (was my largest concern this particular day). That being said the new storm snow danger will increase as it settles and gains more cohesion, especially on the new weak layer formed by the December dry spell. More snow later this week/weekend will load it further, along with any wind that comes in with the next storm.
