Went out to take a look at the snowpack on a SE aspect prior to the incoming series of storms. Found 11cm of new snow at the time I was out, but that number probably doubled by the end of the day. At the time of the profile, there was a break in the snow and little wind, but later in the day wind picked up. If I were to go to the same area this morning (1 day later) Id expect to see more wind loading and potentially harder wind slabs - yesterday did not see any signs of cracking.
Snow profile revealed a snowpack consisting of a crust - facet - crust - facet -crust sandwich - personally I was suprised to find this on a southerly aspect. Stability test was unreactive (ECTX).
