Comments
Very weak snow both on the surface and beneath a shallowly buried melt-freeze crust to the ground. This very loose, faceted snow will likely be a bothersome basal layer PWL, widespread at this elevation...
Huge surface hoar feathers in most places, except where it's sunny all day.
Small loose faceted grains make up the snowpack below a shallowly buried crust from the warm spell before Christmas
There are several inches to about 1.5 feet of snow at low elevations, except on directly south-facing slopes and those on the front side, the slopes right above Cache Valley.
