Snow Characteristics Comments
Heavy snow today that was fairly supportable with skis on, but you would sink to the ground when you got off your sled. I stayed on the beaten path, but I saw where sleds had been badly stuck in flat terrain near the road but off the packed track.

Conditions are dangerous where there is old snow beneath the stout new slab, but it will gradually become less so in the next few days.

Comments
There was evidence of a pretty widespread natural avalanche cycle that probably occurred yesterday afternoon or overnight since there was a little snow on the debris piles.
I dug test pits near the Tony Grove Road avalanches reported yesterday, right off the road on an east-facing slope at around 7500' in elevation.
