Surprisingly nice day with clouds moving in and out through out the day. Lenticular clouds developing during the day.

No real problems yet. But the weak snow will become suspect as more snow falls on it.

The layer that I see becoming an issue is on top of an old melt freeze cruse about 10cm down on the upper elevation northerly aspects. This and all other layers have faceted. In the bottom 20cm of the snowpack large grained depth hoar is present.
I was suprised by the amount of snow above 9500' on the NW-NE aspects. There was enough to make some early season turns, but also enough to connect some slopes together with old snow. Many of the E,SE, and W slopes have snow but it is generally broken up by small terrain features.
