Comments
I could see evidence of a widespread natural avalanche cycle in the Wellsville Range, including large cornice falls and broad slab avalanches of drifted storm snow which occurred at all elevations. Large natural cornice falls under setting moon in the Wellsville Mountain Wilderness above Mendon's Maple Bench. These cornice falls are no joke, running far and producing large piles of debris in the runout gullies.
Comments
A bit hard to see, but pictured is somewhat obscured (by snow and drifting) evidence of natural avalanches on Box Elder Peak, Wellsville Cone, and Mitton Peak.
