Accident and Rescue Summary
A rider was riding along the ridge west of Logan Peak when the cornice broke much further back than expected. The rider was able to jump off his sled as it fell with the collapsing cornice. The cornice fall triggered a large avalanche of wind drifted snow on the slope below and the snowmobile was completely buried. This was a close call for the rider for sure. The sled was recovered the next day, having sustained significant damage.
