Comments
Intentional ski cut in Femme Fatale/The Hangnail off of Cardiff Ridge. While inconsistent as far as strength, we were able to trigger a small wind slab in the wind affected area of the slope. The slab did not propagate as it slid to the bottom of the chute, however it could have been enough to knock someone off their feet. Winds were observed out of the W/NW consistent with the forecast with strong gusts at times. Below the wind effected part of the slope, snow was very inconsistent ranging from blower powder to sun crust to frozen corn.
