Had a nice tour today at the old ski hill. We found no signs of instability while we were out. A small wind slab has begun to form on the east facing exposed areas. We dug to the ground to check out the PWL but we were not able to impact it with our stability tests. We stuck to 30 degrees and under and had a great time while we stayed safe. The snow pack is appearing to gain strength but a wind slab is forming. The upper elevation terrain we could see while touring had very clear signs of wind rippling. Attached a picture of the what the wind slab looked like in this area.
