Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
New Snow
Problem #1 Comments
We saw a few natural avalanches that failed within the new snow roughly 5-10 inches deep and 25-50 feet wide with debris piles not deep enough to bury a person. On steeper slopes, it was easy to initiate the dry new snow into loose-dry avalanches that didn't run very far.
