Comments
Winds were moving the new snow around this morning at elevations above 9000' on the south side on Lone Peak. Several large soft wind pillows were noted on the way up HH. This slide broke at the skiers feet with a starting crown of about 2 inches which then propogated into a crown averaging about 8 inches with a max depth of 12 inches. Most of the wind slab traveled about 40 feet before stopping, but one portion traveled roughly 200 feet in a small tounge of debris. Debris pile was about 2 feet deep, and comprised mostly of thick wind slab chunks.
