I actually started 4 avalanches in 3 runs.
The first was my ski cut 70 meters north of rocky point on the southeast facing face out of the small saddle. Damp solar affected powder pulled out on 38, 39 degrees, propagated out about 15 meters. Only ran 120 vert as the the little quakies slowed it down. Debri, 1 meter deep, 15 meters across. 15 meters downhill.
2nd slide was north, northeast facing, all loose new snow on the 3 to 5 centimeter melt freeze lens. Didnt propagate much, but relaively fast moving. The 3rd slide was a little norh facing cornice, ran fast into the mature aspen. Entrained some snow. Release angle 50 degrees.
3rd slide was down lower out of a true north facing saddle. I skied the east, west trending rocky point subridge down 200 vert then came out of some mature north facing aspen into the open area. I came in hot and hit a long ski cut across the open area and it popped. I was 2 meters below the crown on the skiers right flak and got slapped around a bit till i could get onto the bed.
20 inch crown, 65 ft. wide soft slab ran on light facets on the stout melt freeze lens. Stounch wall wall only 80, 100 feet below the crown, but fast mover, quick. Debris was 1 meter to meter and a half.
I uploaded a photo of #4. Its a crappy shot, but if ya zoom in you can get the idea.
