Comments
Skier forced out of main east-facing line by terrain and breakable crust onto a NE facing side-gully. Positioned above a classic terrain-trap and reflecting on the day's forecast, skier made a precautionary ski cut across the top of the gully and carved off a large cinnamon roll the size of a truck tire. Skier braced against a large fir tree, and the gully flushed just like a toilet. Crown was indistict due to poor/no snow structure. Skier then continued down the slide path. Slide ran nearly to Rattlesnake Canyon. Deposition was about 3-4' deep. Skier also observed a few moderate-sized wet slides in Rattlesnake Canyon which weren't there on the ascent (last pic).
