Found 2-3 inches of new snow on top of the 1" thick old sun crust at a wind sheltered, east facing aspect around 7100'. It seemed like there was weaker snow underneath the crust, but the crust was supportable at all the elevations I skied today on eastern aspects. Hoarfrost seems to be are forming on the new snow, see picture below.
