Solid supportable crust covered with well developed surface hoar at lower elevations. Breakable crust at mid elevations, with wet slushy snow in sunny terrain in midday heat.

I did not see any evidence of wet avalanches, but I started to sink to around my boot tops in very slushy snow in south facing Ham Hollow in the midday heat.

There was a nice crop of surface hoar feathers on the snow surface in sheltered terrain. Down low these feathers were growing right on the surface of a solid rain crust from the 1-6 storm
