Clear, mild and warm temperatures and calm winds. The calendar says December, but man it did not feel like a December day on the north slope.

A variety of early season snow conditions out there right now with the surface snow loose and unconsolidated and some heat and wind crusts from October and November.

Not a real issue at the moment, but the snow pack has lost some structure on the high cold shady slopes where loose faceted snow makes up a good portion of the snow pack.
